The 22 color plates are printed separately and tipped-in, as issued. Each portrait is accompanied by a very brief biography. The portraits are separated into 2 sections: "Indian Chiefs, Warriors, Medicine Men, and Army Scouts" is the first section, with 100 portraits; and "White Men in the Indian Country: Traders, Explorers, Scouts and Guides, Army Officers and Soldiers," the second section with 25 portraits. A fine, clean, bright copy.
