The "marriage place" refers to both a physical location where marriage negotiations or ceremonies occur, and metaphorically, the societal space women are expected to occupy. Ramona finds herself torn between fulfilling her family's expectations and seeking her own path in life. Written in ink on front cover are the words, "Feb/March 1959" else a fine copy.
