First edition. 9 1/2" x 5 1/2" in green cardboard printed wrappers. [20] pp. Illustrations. Printed to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary Rare. A very thorough history of the Gugler Lithographic Company. The company was started in 1878 by German immigrant Henry Gugler and his two sons, Julius and Henry, Jr. They began the business with $4,000, one steam press and a cubby-hole for a "plant." By 1883 the company had 55 employees and handled all advertising for Pabst Brewing. Twenty years later it had grown to more than 100 employees, and printed a wide variety of commercial imagery. Pages disbound from wrappers along with light soiling. Wrappers with 3" split to head and toe of spine along with light tanning at edges and with minor wear to the extremities. Very good.
