First Edition. Cloth. v-xxxiii, [83pp]. 90 Illustrations from Old Photographs. John Addison Stryker was a life-long follower of the rodeo circuit and a promoter in every way of all aspects of rodeos. Born in Rockford, Illinois, September 1, 1883, he is most remembered for his body of photographs he took of the rodeo. He invented the chute that the animals come out of and he developed new ways of photographing action during an event by propping his camera on the toe of his right boot right next to a bucking bronco. Sixty-one of those photographs are presented here. A fine copy in lightly rubbed dust jacket.
