This photograph illustrated brochure promotes the advantages of enjoying the accommodations of the famed Streamliner trains that had originally been attractions during the 1934 Chicago World's Fair, A Century Of Progress. Photograph pictures depict the parlor cars featuring reclining lounge rocking chairs, Art-Deco inspired smoking cars and steamlined coaches that feature single and double rooms, dining and lounge facilities. A few pictures show stylish women in Pullman-Standard sleeper cars as well as double bedroom suites dressed for the evening or in their silk pajamas.
Also included is a typed letter signed by a Pullman Company Vice President with the original stamped envelope addressed to George Steinmetz. The letter is mimeographed and thanks Mr. Steinmetz for his inquiry and with the described brochure enclosed. The brochure, letter and mailing envelope are in very good condition.
