As described on Title page: "Containing every official horse or cattle brand on record May 1, 1908, at the Secretary of State's office, Lincoln, Nebraska, a description of the same and the name and post office address of the owner." The brand listing also describes placement location of the brand and whether Horse or Cattle. This important brand book contains almost 1500 brands throughout Nebraska, and also includes brands from ranches located in Ardmore, South Dakota; Pine Ridge, South Dakota; and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. A 25 page Index of brand owners at the rear of the volume. Great advertisements are scattered throughout the volume. Not listed in Adam's Rampaging Herd, though a 1934 brand book with a very similar title is listed. Some modest general soiling and moderate wear to fore-edges, corners, and spine ends. Binding is a little loose with cracking to portions of the rear inner hinge, but retained as originally published. Internally, quite clean. Overall, in very good condition.
