First edition. Very good copy lacking the dust jacket (and we have never seen a dust jacket for this title). Athelston Digby agrees to look after a bookshop while his friend attends a funeral. He has three customers ask for the obscure title "Life and Death of Mr. Badman" by John Bunyan, and not finding it on the shelves until later that night, but it is stolen by morning. A scarce title.
