Original dark green cloth, with spine rebacked and original title stamped in gold gilt and affixed to the spine, brown endpapers, 443 pp. plus 4 pages of advertising, introductory, large folding map, appendix, index. Considered the classic of its field, this book provides, entirely in prose form, how to speak the language entirely through sign language, without one diagram provided. The map of Indian Reservations bound into the front is intact but with old cellophane tape repairs to the verso and some small tears at the folds, else a good copy. title page in worn condition with nicks and repairs to the edges and a tear along bottom portion at the spine, with the interior in very good serviceable condition, else a good copy of a very scarce book on the subject of Indian sign language.
