Located in the northeast corner of Texas, Lamar County provides and interesting and varied history. Much on pioneer families and settlers, geography, agriculture, ranching, etc. Six Guns 1603 says, "Scarce." "Has some material on John Chisum's early life and a mention of Belle Starr." Herd 1634 says, "Contains material on John Chisum and his early cattle drives." The edition was limited to 700 copies. Bookplate of Ike Moore, lightly rubbed at spine ends else a near fine, tight copy without dust jacket, as issued. A very scarce item today.
