Publication: The Mystery League, Inc, Publishers, 1931, New York
First edition. Sixteenth book in the series. Former owner's inked name and number on the front free fly leaf, and a tiny inked number on the front pastedown sheet covered by the flap. Fine, bright copy in dust jacket. The New Orleans Sheldon Memorial Library informed the police that the nine priceless leaves of the Gutenberg Bible had been stolen. Among the leaves stolen was the Ten Commandments, which included "Thou Shalt Not Kill." Apparently someone was listening because soon a dead body turned up. Difficult title, especially in the elusive dust jacket. Dust jacket art by "Gene."
