Brick-red cloth, gilt and brown lettering, with dust jacket cover art photo of sheep herder on horseback. Excellent history of sheep ranching in Texas and New Mexico, with a chapter devoted to the Churro sheep protected and herded by Navajo sheepwomen and men, as well as chapter on ranger wars between sheep ranchers and cattlemen. Chipping to top edge of front wrapper, to spine and to lower edge of rear panel, along with scuffing to spine and with wear to the extremities. Good to very good.
