First edition. 4 1/2" x 6" string tied, cream-colored decorated wrappers, n. p. [16 pp.], illustrated throughout from photographs and drawings, printed in blue and red duotone. Pasted inside the front cover is a DeSoto Hotel letterhead that shows the hotel and is dated by hand in ink, "Mch. 1896." The DeSoto is billed here as the Queen of Resorts. Topics include: Savannah; Social Life; Beautiful Drives; Superb Bonaventure; Yachting and Fishing; and Routes to Savannah. Illustrations show: exterior views; Drawing Room; Main Dining Room; Bull Street Entrance and Porch; Liberty Street Entrance; Old Slave Quarters, Hermitage Plantation; Jasper Monument and Harris Street Side; Avenue at Hermitage and Overseer of Slaves Residence; Negro Cabin on Bonaventure Drive; etc. Two tiny closed tears to bottom edge of front cover panel, else a very good copy.
