The Pinkerton Detective Series No. 6. Six Guns says "Rare." An early account of the Dalton Brothers, with focus on their ill-conceived attempt to rob 2 banks simultaneously in Coffeyville, Kansas; resulting in the death of 4 gang members and 4 citizens. Some minor edgewear and some very light general soiling. An unusually bright, tight copy of this rare account, issued only 2 months after the tragedy at Coffeyville. Blindstamp of "A. Williams News Dealer Portage, Wisc" in lower fore-corner of front cover and small stamp of previous owner on upper edge of frontis illustration, title page, and front wrapper. Protected in a clamshell box with title and year of publication in gilt on leather labels on spine.
