First edition. 8vo. 9" x 6" printed wrappers, 32 pp., frontispiece is a double page map with color outlining, tables. The wrappers are printed on each panel. Nearly all existing Iowa rail lines run east to west. This one is north to south and "now nearly complete." The route is 233 miles, 105 miles of track are laid, operational from Mason City to Marshalltown, they are laying track at the rate of 2 miles per day, bonds are still for sale, etc. and "have no reason to doubt that the entire line will be finished this year." Orders for available bonds will be delivered free of charge. Good description of the country, products, projected business of the rail line, etc. A small old water stain affects the front cover and front fly leaf, covers lightly soiled, and a light vertical crease else a very good copy.
