First edition. Fine, bright, clean copy in dust jacket with a tiny minor restoration at the foot of spine and with absolutely no fading to the red Crime Club logo on the spine panel. Murder sends a heartbroken man twisting and turning down the black path of fear. He is accused of a murder he didn't commit and his only proof of innocence is destroyed. A particularly nice copy of an uncommon book and a Crime Club mystery title. Basis for the 1946 United Artists film The Chase that starred Robert Cummings, Michele Morgan, and a host of others. This is an exceptional copy.
