Publication: New York: Argosy-Antiquarian Ltd, 1965,

Two Volumes. Limited to 750 sets of the joint reprint/first edition. Vol I: Dec. cloth, vi [2], 283pp. Vol. II: Dec. cloth, xx [1], 285-527pp. Some Recollections of a Western Ranchman, is a reprint edition after the original published in 1927, by Metheun & Co. Editor Dykes long believed that only half of French's manuscript had been published. After sometime he located French's daughter and subsequently edited the remainder of the manuscript. Further Recollections of a Western Ranchman, is the result of his effort and is the true first edition. Presentation inscription "For Frank - A note in a Wright Howes catalog put me on the trail of the manuscript for this volume. It took some years to run down. Captain French was a good cowman and I loved doing this book about him. Jeff Dykes." Jeff's introduction has much to say about the book. Fine set encased together in the original slipcase.
