First edition. Suede Leather, 50pp., illustrations. Frontis. A very scarce and unusual work. The author, an Episcopal priest missionary, who spent many years among the Dakota, presents the Indian view of Custer, Sitting Bull, and the Battle of the Little Big Horn, in the form of an epic poem presented as a "drama." Some very slight separation of fore-edge of front pastedown endpaper from the suede cover, and a neatly repaired closed tear to front pastedown. Suede covers clean with title and author in bright gilt on front cover. Very scarce, especially in attractive fragile original wrappers/cover. Very Good- Near Fine copy.
