Laid-in to this copy is a promotional booklet titled Six Omnibus Volumes Of Outstanding Value done by the publisher, John Murray, and promoting various A. Conan Doyle books including The Complete Sherlock Holmes Short Stories, The Sherlock Holmes Long Stories, The Conan Doyle Historical Romances I, The Conan Doyle Historical Romances II, and The Conan Doyle Stories. Two different photographs of A. Conan Doyle also appear in the booklet. An invoice dated 3/11/35 from Goodspeed's Book Shop in Boston is also present and provides the cost of this book when sold in 1935, and a promotional card is also laid-in which details the book by H. W. Bell, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson: A Chronology Of Their Adventures. Sherlock Holmes: Fact Or Fiction? is the first really authoritative biography of the famous detective.
