Dan Rose's history of and stories of the Globe area of Gila County, Arizona. This booklet, first published in Globe, Arizona, in April, 1935, was privately printed for the author by Republic and Gazette Printery, Phoenix. Included are sections or material on: King Woolsey; the Pinole Treaty; the Massacre at Bloody Tanks; Honky Dory Holmes; the first mine location in Globe; the first merchants in Globe; the first Xmas tree in Globe; pioneers from Silver City, New Mexico; the law in Globe; stamp mills; stage lines; McMillanville; the Middleton Ranch Massacre; the first ranchers; the Apache Kid; Apache raids; Jhu; mine promoters; the lynching of Hawley and Grimes; the Pleasant Valley Feud; the transition from silver to copper; the first railroad to enter Globe; Roosevelt Dam; mineral districts; and Miami. Six Guns says "Rare" and "Contains material on the Tonto Basin War, the Apache Kid, and other Arizona outlaws." This edition is not to be confused with the facsimile re-issue that was published in 1995 and limited to 150 copies.
