Original Photograph of Jesse James home in St. Joseph, Missouri. On April 3, 1882, Jesse James was killed in his home; shot in the head from behind by supposed friend, Bob Ford, who, with his brother Charley, had met secretly with Missouri Governor Thomas Crittenden, who agreed to a $10,000 bounty. The image shows a large crowd gathered outside Jesse's home shortly after Jesse was murdered. Hand-written across upper portion of the image is: Jesse W. James Home At St. Joseph, Mo.
