The motion requests "the President to give instructions to the Secretary of War to prepare a report for the next session concerning the annuities and present granted to, and the trade carried on with, the several Indian tribes within the limits of the United States, during four years antecedent to the 4th of March, 1815, whether such trade has been under the control or management of the superintendent of Indian trade, of the governors of the several territories, or of any other person acting in behalf of the United States;...".
