First edition. 9 1/4" x 6 3/4" in colorful pictorial wrapper. [12] pp including wrappers. Illustrations. The story of John Jacob's two sons, Titus and Tam, who go out riding on the wild prairies of Nebraska and narrowly avoid the clutches of a band of wild Indians (Cheyenne or Sioux). Beautifully illustrated with five color illustrations of various Indians along with black and white sketches on 6 of the pages. Wrappers and page edges professionally reinforced and repaired as wrappers were loose and with closed tears to edges of all pages as well as 2" x 2" chip to rear wrapper. Light soiling throughout. Previous owner's name written in pencil at top of front wrapper and with a gift inscription written in pen on rear wrapper.
