Publication: Eastern Publishing Co, 1906, Boston

First edition. Pictorial cloth, 178pp. Frontis. Illustrations. A "Merrill Aristocrat" and considered by Merrill to be "exceedingly rare" in 1946. This work was chosen by Jeff Dykes to be one of the "One Hundred Head Cut Out Of The Jeff Dykes Herd" in 1972, in which his description was, "Buck, a retired buckskin cow pony, gives a first person account of his life and times on the early range." The 1 page announcement advertising this book is neatly tipped-in on the front pastedown. An attractive very good copy with minor bump to one corner and minimal edgewear.
