Opposite side offers a 15-panel map showing the location of battlefields in Virginia, compiled from official war records and maps for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Company. Inserted at bottom of map is a 3" x 6 3/4" map showing the lines of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway (shown in red ink) from Washington and Old Point Comfort to Chicago, Peoria and St. Louis. 5 panels offer information on the principal battles and engagements along with losses sustained and with a comparative statement of the number of men furnished and of the death in the U.S. Army during the war.
