Spine lightly sunned, front fly leaf stuck to the front pastedown sheet, some light pencil under-linings and notes throughout, else a very good, tight copy. Volume II: Green cloth, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine, v [blank], 507-1068 pp., illustrated, maps, epilogue, index. Lightly sunned on the spine else a very good, tight copy. Volume I deals from ancient times to Nome in the early 1900's. In this volume a former owner has made light pencil under-linings and notes which erase easily and appear only in the first 300 pages .
