Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1933. First edition. Author's third book. Very good in dust jacket with some shallow chipping at spine ends and a two inch closed tear at top edge of rear panel. The brig Glimpse sails from Chog's Cove, Rhode Island as a privateer to make the fortunes of its officers and crew by preying upon British commerce in the Caribbean. For a time all goes well until the capture of a sloop of dubious registry causes trouble for all aboard the Glimpse. Scarce.
