Blue fabricoid, titles stamped in silver on the spine, photograph of train engines on the front and rear endpapers, 351 pp., foreword, introduction, illustrated mostly from photographs, drawings, portraits, roster. The definitive reference on Lima Locomotive Works, Inc., from its beginning to eventual dissolution in the 1950's. Important information on both the company's Shays and "Super Power" locomotives, especially the 2-8-4 Berkshires. There is also some background on the city of Lima, Ohio, as well. A minor "ding" to the bottom edge of the front cover and a very small bump to the front cover corners, else a fine, tight bright copy in dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, corners, and extremities, and lightly rubbed along front flap fold.
