First Edition. Disbound. 18pp. This report details the correspondence between Generals Crook and Sheridan regarding problems with the Apaches and in particular, Geronimo, between March 25 and April 5, 1886. It includes the text of the conference between Crook and the hostile Chiricahua chiefs, including Geronimo, held at Canon de Los Embudos on March 25 & 27, 1886. Also includes General Orders, No. 15, issued on April 2, 1886 by Secretary of War Wm. C. Endicott, at the direction of the President, relieving Crook, at his request, from his command of the Department of Arizona, reassigning him to the Department of the Platte, and assigning command of the Department of Arizona to General Nelson Miles. An important succession of correspondence and reports regarding Geronimo and the hostile Chiricahua Apaches. Some light tanning tp pages. Very good.
