Publication: Letter by R J Dobie, Dec, 16, 1897, Beeville, Texas

One 8 1/4" x 11" handwritten letter written in pencil on letterhead of W. D. Messenger, Agent for Dandy Windmills of Beeville, Texas. The Dandy Windmill is manufactured by the Challenge Wind Mill & Feed Mill Company of Batavia, Illinois. They are manufacturers of the Dandy Steel Tower & Wind Mill. Using the stationery of the W. D. Messenger Company of Beeville, Texas, R. J. Dobie writes a letter in pencil to his brother W. N. Dobie. The letter begins "Dear Brother: I have this day bought from W. A. Messenger one Dandy Mill for the Mills well. You make arrangements to have it hauled." He further directs his brother that arrangements to install the windmill have been made with W. D. Messenger and "please get every thing ready for him as soon as possible. The Dandy Mill is good. Messenger guarantees satisfaction. In haste Your Brother." A good handwritten letter written in pencil on W. D. Messenger printed stationery, with folds evident and a small fold crease to bottom edge but not affecting any of the writing. A nice endorsement for the Dandy windmill.
