The story "King Of The Windmillers," begins on page 30, 31, 62, & 63, is triple column and contains numerous black & white photographs by Knoles-Peterson of New Mexico windmills. Presents a wonderful story on New Mexico windmills where Ray D. Knox an old-timer in the profession of installing and maintaining windmills. At the age of 83 and still actively at work he tells us that the wind was his greatest enemy, winter the hardest time, and "blacking out" the deepest dread.

Few inventions have contributed more than the windmill to settling New Mexico. Knox recalls several windmill jobs that he did in and around the Roswell, New Mexico area. He explains in some detail how the wind was such a strong force even saying how men had to be tied to the platform tower to keep from being blown off or "blacking out" due to the height.
