Originally founded by Stephen Bateman (b. 1800), cousin to Charles Goodyear, the company was well known for their Iron Age wrought iron one-horse cultivators, as well as drills, wheel-hoes, riding cultivators, potato planters (Improved Robbins), sprayers, diggers, orchard and beet cultivators, and more.
