Publication: Government Printing Office, 1924, Washington

First Edition. Stiff Printed Wrappers, bound in Cloth for the Library of Congress. 500pp. "Hearings Before a Sub-Committee of the Committee on Indian Affairs. House of Representatives, Sixty-Eighth Congress, First Session, Pursuant to House Resolution 348. November 11 to December 12,1924." This investigation is a result of the issuance of a circular entitled, "Oklahoma's Poor Rich Indians" by Gertrude Bonnin, Charles F. Fabens, and Matthew K. Sniffen, representing the Indian Rights Association. The circular states "that in many of the counties of this eastern section of Oklahoma the Indians are virtually at the mercy of the county judges, groups that include the county judges, guardians, and attorneys, and are literally being robbed out of their estates." A very detailed record of the testimony of various Indians and their representatives. This copy is identified as a surplus duplicate from the Library of Congress. An important investigative report of the conditions impacting the general Indian population in eastern Oklahoma. Other than library markings by the Library of Congress, a Fine copy. Pages 415-446 are missing, although they appear to have been removed or eliminated prior to binding. (?)
