Publication: Robert Hale Limited, 1957, London

First U. K. edition. First hardcover edition. Originally published in the U. S. in 1956 by Dell Publishing Company as a paperback original using the title Murder In The Wind. Fine, bright copy in dust jacket with a tiny closed tear at head of spine, a few tiny edge nicks to spine ends, and with a small area of rubbing to the text on the rear flap fold. Beginning in 1954, UK publisher Robert Hale began publishing hardcover editions of MacDonald's earliest books, published as paperback originals in the US. Hale editions were published in small numbers (typically between 500-1000), geared primarily toward the library market; as a result copies in anything approaching collectible condition are quite scarce. Set in Florida a dangerous hurricane that traps thirteen people in a deserted house and they soon learn that the unleashed forces inside more than matched the primitive storm outside.
