In 1973, the National Cowboy Hall of Fame voted Clark Hulings to receive the prestigious Prix de West award and invited Hulings to create a one-man exhibition of his works at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center in Oklahoma City. Hulings created 35 oil paintings for the show. This work presents, in color, those paintings, accompanied by the artist's comments on his subject matter and the challenges that were presented.
