A very interesting history of Fort Abercrombie, located in the southeast corner of North Dakota, with focus on its role in the Sioux Uprising of 1862 in Minnesota, and subsequent military activity. Information and illustrations were provided by North Dakota and Minnesota historical societies, as well as from articles written by C. A. Gewalt for the Richland County Farmer-Globe. An interesting local/regional history. Split to upper 5" of spine, else a very good copy, in exceptional condition considering its newspaper construction and large physical dimensions. Very scarce.
