The adventures of a persistent collector and book hunter of Texana and other rarities, whose collection was sold in 1948 to the University of Texas. The collection helped to establish the Barker Texas History Center. Vandale was an oilman from Amarillo, Texas. Signed on the front free fly leaf with the ownership signature of Haley's long-term executive assistant, else a fine, bright, square copy.
