The account of the killing of the Kid by Garrett is based upon fact, but the rest is romance." Dykes 58: "Rare." ".... but so far as is known it is the first novel in hard covers in which Billy the Kid is an important character. Almost the only incident in the novel that is based on fact is the killing of the Kid at Maxwells." A collectors item for Billy the Kid. Covers lightly rubbed else a very good, tight copy.
