Decker 303: "Blanchet was a nephew of Mgr. Norbert Blanchet. He arrived in Oregon, July 24, 1863, and was stationed at Jacksonville, Ore. until 1888. He died in Portland in 1906. This work relates to the climate, productions, the state of religion, etc." Not in Cowan, Eberstadt, Siebert Sale, Lande or Peel. Rare. Relates information on the climate, production, and the state of religion in Southern Oregon and the California border region. Also includes some account of the Mormons after making an overland trip eastward through Utah.
