States that by using the old method of tanning a hide required months and often years to finish it into leather. Offering the new Excelsior Tanning Process a hide is tanned in from fifteen minutes to twelve days. Directions for soaking, hairing, bating, tanning, sudsing, finishing, glossing, blacking, etc. How to soak, hair, bate, tan, suds, finish, gloss, black, etc. Lacking rear wrapper with 3 small holes punched along spine, probably for binding. Moderate wear to lower portion of the spine, folds and creases to fore-edges of front cover and to a lesser degree on each subsequent page else a good copy.
