A biography of Richard Alonzo "Lon" Bass, an early-day Southwestern outlaw, lawman, cowboy, saloonkeeper, etc. Lon was born in Meansville, Texas in 1856 and died in Douglas, Arizona Territory in 1903. He was shot and killed by Arizona Ranger William (Bill) W. Webb in the Cowboy Home Saloon in Douglas.
