The magazine was a premier, Scottsdale, Arizona-based quarterly publication that served as a leading source for scholarly articles, auction results, and exhibit information on Native American art. It covered diverse, high-quality, and often antique art forms before closing in 2015. The publication was devoted exclusively to the wide variety of American Indian art, featuring contributions from leading experts, museum curators, and academics. It covered topics ranging from historic, pre-contact, and contemporary, with articles often highlighting specific, diverse regional styles.
