21 x 27.5 cm framed photograph with image size of 10 x 17 cm [4" x 6 5/8"] hand-colored photograph. Captioned at lower left corner, "51057 - Colorado, The Round Up, 'Grub Pile."
A nicely colored photograph captioned in gilt on the lower left portion. Further information neatly written in pencil is provided on the rear of the frame. Ranchers shown are Franklin Griffin, Harry Allen, Jimmy (?) Tennis, Smith, Dutch Pete, and George K. Fischer. The photograph was taken at a ranch in Horse Creek, Colorado in June of 1887. George K. Fischer is also noted at being nicknamed “Tenderfoot (Age 211/2) Grandfather of Paul Kide & Joan E.” Fischer is seen at the far left of the photograph. A nice picture taken at a prominent time in the life of cowboys and ranching. Very good condition.
