Volume I: Original red cloth, titles stamped, titles stamped in black on the front cover and spine, xx, 352 pp., frontispiece [portrait], foreword, preface, introduction, bibliography, index to names and subjects. Foreword by Thomas W. Streeter. Fine, bright copy in lightly rubbed dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends and top edge of the front cover and front flap fold. Volume II: Original red cloth, titles stamped in black on the front cover and spine, xii, 734 pp., frontispiece [portrait], preface, introduction, index to names and subjects. Original prospectus laid-in for Volume II. First 12 pages have minor to light wear to the fore-edges, else a fine, bright copy in lightly rubbed dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends. Jenkins Basic Texas Books - B215, p.616 says: "An extension of the 1846-1860 volume, with 3961 items. Streeter, Winkler, and Winkler-Friend encompass every known work printed in Texas between 1795 and 1876." An attractive set with the books in fine, lightly used condition and the dust jackets in very good to near fine condition.
