This is the only work devoted to this important West Texas fort located in Coleman County, Texas, which was established to prevent incursions from hostile Indians. For nine years the Second Cavalry engaged in constant activity and warfare against the Comanche and other hostile Indian tribes. The soldiers of the Second Cavalry functioned well as protectors of the frontier settlers of a hundred-fifty years ago. A fine, bright, square copy in a fine unprinted dust jacket. The only copy of this title we've ever encountered. Extremely scarce to rare.
