Buffalo County is located in the mid-southern part of Nebraska with Kearney, Nebraska being its largest town. It is divided by present-day U. S. Highway Route 80. There is much on early settlements and settlers, the Pawnee Indians, early elections, cattle drives, cowboy problems, outlaws and lawmen, ranching and ranchers, Indian problems, agriculture. climate, rainfall, etc. Six Guns 165 says "Scarce." "Has a long chapter on the murder of the two nesters Mitchell and Ketchum by I. P. Olive, and of the latter's trial and death." Not in Adams Herd, but should be. Cosmetic restoration to spine ends, corners, and extremities else a very good copy housed in a slipcase with titles stamped in gold on the spine.
