Map is folded and is 9 1/2" x 12 3/4" and is titled "Map Of The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway and Connections." All railway routes are outlined in red. The Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway owns and operates over 6,600 miles of thoroughly equipped road in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Brule County, South Dakota is situated in the heart of the famous Missouri River Valley, being bounded on the west by the Missouri River, on the south by Charles Mix County, on the east by Aurora County, and on the north by Buffalo County. Jerauld County joins Brule on the northeast corner. Views of farms, cattle and sheep ranches, and Chamberlain, a town in the county. They promote plenty of water for farming as sourced by the Missouri River and numerous artesian wells that are scattered over the county. In addition to livestock production there is much wheat, corn, oats, dairy products, orchards, etc. due to the fertile ground, water, climate, and availability to markets. In addition to Chamberlain, the county seat, the towns of Pukwana,and Kimball are touted as being good places to live. Covers lightly soiled, a faint vertical crease, a tiny old water spot to the bottom margins of the front cover and the first page, a tiny bit of penciled under lining, else a very good copy.
