The story of a small railroad company that was acquired by the Western Pacific Railroad during the construction of the last transcontinental link to California. The little coal railroad was known to its employees as the "Andy & Sam Jackson" and was but 36.6 miles in length from the mines at Tesla to the coal bunker at Stockton. An informative and interesting history. Fine copy.
