This is a separate imprint from the original which was issued from the Bulletin of The New York Public Library of April 1915, and this edition reprinted in May 1915. Mattes 1173 says "Set out with husband and four sons to California. Lodisa took notes by the way and then wrote her distinctly feminine journal when snowbound on a branch of Trinity River, in the Sierra Nevada." An account of an 1852 crossing from Illinois to California. Very good clean copy.
