"The first edition is exceedingly scarce...contains much material on Texas gunmen, such as John Wesley Hardin and King Fisher, and the Taylor-Sutton Feud and other border troubles."--Ramon Adams. "...this is one of the most interesting accounts of the life of the Texas Rangers in the late 1870's."--John H. Jenkins. Previous owners' names on front endpapers, rear free fly leaf has been replaced, else a very good internally clean and tight copy housed in a cloth slipcase. Highly recommended and copies signed by Jennings are rare.
