A Gun For Honey

G. G. FICKING

Other works by G. G. FICKING

Publication: Pyramid Books, 1958, New York

First edition. 16mo. A paperback original mystery novel. Stiff color wrappers, yellow stained edges, 190 [2] pp. Second volume featuring Honey West, "the sexiest private eye ever to pull a trigger." Created in 1957 by husband and wife writing duo Gloria and Forest E. "Skip" Fickling, Honey West was among the first female private detectives in popular fiction. Here, she's on a case in California where two young women have been smothered to death, and sets a trap for the killer using herself as the bait. Honey's character was the basis for a short-lived TV series on ABC from 1965-66, starring Anne Francis. Trivial wear to the extremities else a fine copy.
